Single Exclusive: Ronald Raygun – Sedation

Makers of music that makes you wanna move aka Ronald Raygun are about to drop their first single after a lockdown hiatus. Sedation is a funky return that should adorn Christmas party playlists everywhere. The track combines elements of psychedelia and house and packs so many magic moments into three minutes, including scene setting synths, late eighties sax appeal, chattering rhythms, fuzzy Tame Impala-esque guitar riffs and super-sleek vocals.

“The song has been cooking for ages and I’m glad to finally have it out. If anyone has seen us live they will recognise it because it’s been in the live set for ages! I never want to write a song about specific things because every time I do it sounds conceited and rubbish. So, I tend to just write the music first, then do stream of consciousness lyrics until it sounds ‘right’. That way people can read into it what they will! “
