Local electronic Dance Music label, Council Pop Soundz are releasing a charity record for Back And Alive in Ukraine.

The record is called Project Xena and is named after a woman in West Ukraine called Kesnia (who got given the alias Xena on her travels to Japan before the conflict) who gave nightly live Tik Tok videos keeping people up to date with what was happening in the Ukraine. She would talk about an organisation called Back and Alive, which provides aid for the army and inspired Danny Kitching of Council Pop Soundz to put together and release a compilation vinyl to raise some money.

The record features tracks from local producers from the Makina scene, such as Digital Industries (Danny Kitching), DJ Jupiter (Paul Osborne), Synthetik (Jamie Wales), Stocko (Johny Stock) and AGM (Aidan Geddes).

You can pre-order the Project Xena vinyl, which starts from £30 for the plain art case and £50 for the full artwork version, which comes with digital downloads, your name on the back of the record and entry into a competition to win some cool prizes.
