Sunderland superstars Tom A Smith and The Lake Poets perform a special show on Saturday 26th November to raise money for singer-songwriter Faye Fantarrow
Sunderland solo artist and Alan Hull Award recipient Faye Fantarrow recently announced the sad news that she has been diagnosed with an aggressive Glioma brain tumour. To combat this illness Faye has been accepted on a Cart cell trial to cure her cancer in California, USA… However, the cost of this is £450,000.
To pay for the treatment, the Fight For Faye fundraising campaign has been launched, which has seen the region and the rest of the UK/world dig deep to raise over £115,000 so far and set up a variety of fundraising events. One of these events is in her hometown of Sunderland, which sees the scene’s best and brightest come together for a special show.
The Fight For Faye Fundraiser at Pop Recs Ltd on Saturday 26th November sees rising star Tom A Smith and local hero The Lake Poets performing with Eve Cole and Lottie Willis (who were part of the Young Musicians Project with Faye) with all ticket sales and donations going to Faye’s fundraising appeal.
