Northern Academy of Music Education students organise their Snowed In charity gigs taking place at Sunderland (10th Dec) and Hartlepool (13th Dec)
Students from the Northern Academy of Music Education (NAME) recently announced Snowed In two charity gigs taking place in Sunderland and Hartlepool.
Following last year’s debut, which raised over £1,000 for Love Amelia, the project expands with new lineups and a second venue. Snowed in Sunlun lands at Pop Recs on 10th December, raising funds for Sunderland Soup Kitchen with sets from Yersin, Black Rain, Spacecadetbloom and Wool. Three days later (13th December), Snowed in Hartlepool takes over Vixen Bar, with Claudia, Spacecadetbloom, Beatnik and Primaveras performing in aid of Hartlepool Community Grocery.
Driven by NAME students, the gigs aim to turn both venues into hubs of community spirit, raising vital support for families and individuals through the toughest months of the year. “Christmas is a hard time for many, and Snowed In gives the community a chance to enjoy music, discover new bands, and give back,” says organiser Scarlett Peverly.
Tickets are £10 and available here.
