Easter Thursday is a big night for party goers in Newcastle and to capitalise on this to help raise much needed funds for War Child, who are doing all they can to help children in Ukraine, many of the region’s favourite club events and DJs are set to unite for one night only at a special event.

Club Rez is taking place at Zerox, Newcastle on Thursday 14th April (10pm-3am) and will see DJs from the likes of Shindig, Loop and Rinse FM in a unique line-up of just 15-30 minute sets.

Event organiser, Simon Eltringham who DJs and Produces music as ‘The Sonic Emporium and who recently returned to the region tells us more…
“Easter Thursday is a particular favourite for clubbers as its timing generally heralds the start of the summer. This year, however, a friend of ours from Newcastle who lived and worked until recently in Kyiv was caught in the chaos of the recent invasion. His escape with his loved ones was as problematic and dangerous as you might imagine but it made me think even more about those people, kids especially, who maybe don’t have the ability, or indeed may have recently lost loved ones, to escape the awful situation in Ukraine. Having worked in music events for many years, I’d worked to raise money for UK charity War Child on many occasions in the past so I understood how much they can help children and families fleeing war. Throwing a party to raise money felt like the least I could do!”

Rather than purchasing a ticket for the event, attendees are being asked to donate what they can (with all donations being matched for a limited time by the UK government) here.
