Stockton music festival MUNRO celebrates its sixth year by going back to its roots, with two stages, NO CLASHES and 15 artists across the day on Saturday 20th July.

The festival had previously showcased artists such as The Lottery Winners, Red Rum Club, The K’s, Bilk, The Covasettes mixed with local talent such as Avalanche Party, Komparrison and Pit Pony.

This year’s headliner is Ten Tonnes and they’ll be joined by Bigfatbig, Dog Counters, Lissy Taylor, Mascara Lies, The Mericans, Provenance and Red Remedy.

Festival organiser Adam Gallagher adds, “MUNRO is back this year and we are back to two stages. I am excited about the prospect of bringing Ten Tonnes to Teesside. He’s playing festivals such as Kendal Calling & Y Not and even supporting Miles Kane on his Europe Tour and he’s coming to headline this festival I started in my parents’ box bedroom. The excitement doesn’t stop there though, I believe this year is another year in which we will look upon the up-and-coming artists in the North East, BigFatBig are incredible and one of my favourite bands to come out of the area in the recent years so to have them headline the Green Room Stage is something I’m really looking forward to. Mix all this with the likes of The Mericans & Lissy Taylor, two artists that I believe are going places, this year is going to be another year of ‘I was there moments’.”

MUNRO is an all-aged festival, with under 16s to be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available here.
