The South Coast-based indie five piece tell us what their perfect festival will look like ahead of their performance at Munro Festival on 1st July
South Coast-based, beach-pop producing indie outfit Crystal Tides are a band who take influence from classic noughties guitar riffs and modern feel-good pop melodies. Ahead of their performance at this year’s Munro Festival on Saturday 1st July the band tell us what their perfect festival would look like…
Alright cool so as it’s a dream festival we’re going all out. It’s gonna take place in Ueno Park, Tokyo. All bands have chalets assigned to sleep in. There’s no longer such a thing as a load in, all of your equipment appears on stage and the sound engineers are so good at their jobs you don’t even need to line check everything it’s just perfect straight away.
We’re playing but it’s early-mid afternoon and so are all of our mates’ bands. We all have a few beers, cuddle and kiss, etc… and then the four main acts start. We kick off with Anderson Paak because he is probably the coolest man on Earth. Followed by Stormzy because I’ve never really got into grime and I think it would be super cool to see live. Then Slipknot come on because oh boy do they put on a show. Finally BTS wrap the night up with a mammoth K-Pop set and we can all feel horrendous about how untalented and awful we are.
The line up makes no sense but you can’t tell me it wouldn’t sell? Maybe swap Slipknot for baby metal if you’re scared but other than I’m expecting some emails from some very serious promoters.
Maybe there’s also an area where you can pet dogs? That would be kinda cool
Oh and Post Malone’s there, maybe he does a small set in between Slipknot and BTS or something.
