Martin Francis Trollope aka Harbourmaster is the music producer and recording engineer at a community recording studio in South Shields, where he has spent the past decade recording artists from around the region. Sadly, the studio is closing down and so Martin is setting up shop at a new location in Prospect House (also in South Shields), and has begun purchasing the necessary equipment to record to a professional level.

To help with the soundproofing, furnishing and decoration of the new studio Martin has set up a crowdfunder to raise £1500 over 8 weeks, but thanks to generous donors he hit the target in 11 hours! So that artists have a high quality, accessible and affordable facility to record at, Martin will keep the Crowdfunder running. If you’d like to donate and enjoy some of the rewards offering discounted studio time, then click here.

To celebrate the success of the Crowdfunder so far, and to promote further donations, Harbourmaster has organised a performance to be streamed on Friday 14th August (at 8pm via Facebook & Youtube), which will feature sets from artists Martin has worked with including, Tom Mouse Smith, Jen Stevens, Trev Gibb, Jack Fox, JP Riggall, The Railway Club, The Union Choir, District Attorney and Lyre and the Lamb.
