The Teesside artist gives us an exclusive look at the visualiser to to his punchy and passionate new single
Teesside’s George Bailey returns with On My Lips — a bold, full-bodied single that marks the first taste of upcoming EP Dream. Recorded at Nave Studios in Leeds, the track captures a shift in Bailey’s songwriting: rawer, louder, and more direct, trading subtlety for punch. The track is an electrifying, erotic and engaging offering that takes the listener on a sub-three-minute wild rock ‘n’ roll ride of growling guitars, stabbing beats and resonant vocals that lead you to a peppering of staccato kisses and a satisfying crescendo.
George and his band (alongside support acts Sarah Johnsone and Anna Stevenson) will be launching the single at The Georgian Theatre this evening (26/09 – tickets here). But, before that, we’re delighted to be given the first look at the visualiser that accompanies On My Lips.
Here, George tells us a little more about the release…
“This track reveals more of my own personality than it does about the universality of love. Highlighting the complexity of how it feels to be human, but also the simplicity of shared intimacy. I originally wrote four songs addressing themes and situations of ‘being intimate’, ‘On My Lips’ is the love-child of those ideas”.
