The Hartlepool singer-songwriter gives us an exclusive listen to his new single
Hartlepool singer-songwriter Gaz Price is set to drop his new single, Leave Them Be, on Friday 22nd July.
The track is a frantically paced, country-twanging, folk-punk riot complete with melodious warbles, plenty of indie grit and notes of Jake Bugg and The Levellers… And we’re delighted that we’ve been given an exclusive first listen to it.
Here, Gaz tells us more about the song…
“Leave them be” is a song about mob mentality. The air of invincibility you feel when you’re fuelled up and out for some carnage.
This song is a change of pace to my previous releases, most of which are a social commentary or have a euphoric word-conquering feel to them!
Like most of my songs, it started as an acoustic track and the lads helped craft it into its full glory.
If I had to describe the sound to you, I would say it’s Johnny cash meets the sex pistols! If that doesn’t get you going I don’t know what will!”
