Preview: Our Stomping Ground Festival

Now in its third year, Our Stomping Grounds returns to ARC Stockton with its biggest programme yet—three days (Tuesday 25–Thursday 27 November)of exhibitions, cabaret, theatre, music, film and a groundbreaking conference, all led by learning disabled and neurodivergent creatives.

Planned and delivered entirely by local disabled people, the festival celebrates original work, community connection and creative visibility. With workshops already underway, the November takeover promises bold ideas, vibrant performances and a powerful sense of pride.

Patrick Gill, one of the learning disabled artists involved in planning the festival, said, “It’s so important to bring our community together to be part of the life of the area”

Adele Hudson from the Festival Planning group adds, “We want to show people what we can do and we don’t want to be underestimated. What we have to offer is of value. People are always surprised at the quality of the work, it’s all original by the way. We create all our own work from scratch. We like blowing people away!”
