Tyne Bank Brewery, thanks to the Arts Council, are hosting their own arts festival for a whole week from 21st -27th June. Tyne Bank Roots Festival hopes to continue to encourage and support local artists and performers to contribute to the resilience of the Arts Sector, who, because of the pandemic, have had a bit of a tough time as of late.

To do this the makers of great ale will transform their venue from pub to club/theatre/art studio to showcase some of the region’s finest homegrown talent. The festival will feature a wide range of events from geordie favourites as Back Yard Rhythm Orchestra, Dragged Out and even Newcastle’s very own Youth Circus showcase!

Festival producer Hannah Thompson adds, “It’s so exciting to see how local business want to support Newcastle’s arts scene, especially after the year we have had. We all need to start and adapt our venues and events to enable artists and audiences to access art and live performance. I can’t wait to see how the tap room will transform to suit each unique event and how our audiences will interact with the festival!”

Tyne Bank Brewery is wheelchair accessible and the festival has events for family and adult audiences. Ticks for all festival events here.
