We check out the safe and accessible events the not-for-profit CIC has taking place throughout the region in April.
Not-for-profit CIC Tyne & Queer has been set up by Beck Carol and their partner Josh Graham to ensure ‘that queer people have more spaces in Newcastle’. Throughout April they have curated a series of events throughout the North East that will offer great entertainment in a safe and accessible space.
Kicking things off on Tuesday 4th April, there will be a Queer acoustic night at Mosaic Tap, which will feature garage blues outfit Pink Poison, singer-songwriter Jade Mia Broadhead, Acoustic punk purveyor Alex Munro, and musician Natasha Graham
There will be a night of Queer punk over at Little Building on Saturday 15th April, which features the all-out sounds of TV Death, Mascara’s Lies and Fashion Tips. That’s followed by a Queer alt-night at Pineapple Black, Middlesbrough featuring MXYM, Lord Emu, Mascara’s Lies and special guests Failed To Ignite, and Oddo’s Gate on 21st April… And on Sunday 21st April, Little Buildings plays host to the second Queer alt night featuring Kkett, St. Buryan and Blame Yourself.
There are loads of other cool events taking place alongside the music shows, such as a craft fair, creative pop-ups and Tyne & Queer collective pop-ups. If you’d like to see what’s on and/or purchase tickets, then click here.
