A screening of three short films commissioned as part of Channel 4’s Random Acts strand makes up The Artist’s Cut Showcase at Tyneside Cinema on Friday 2nd November, with film makers Jessica Sarah Rinland, Sebastian Buerkner and Saeed Taji Farouky having their work screened.

As well as the screenings is a panel debate and drinks reception, to celebrate the completion of the project. The panel debate will address key questions surrounding the current climate of artist film commissioning and what part television can play in supporting the careers of artists. There’ll also be a chance to learn first-hand about the Random Acts project and those behind it.

The Artist’s Cut Showcase is at Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle on Friday 2nd December.
