Reliably informed

Recently, archaeologists and historical archivists have uncovered artefacts, documents and cave paintings that suggest that before lockdown people really enjoyed dedicating their spare time to two things: enjoying live music and drinking beer in their local breweries. As restrictions are lifted and the doors of venues opened for what has seemed like an eternity, civilisation is rediscovering these activities to reconnect with the past.

One upcoming event that is combining both pastimes for a nostalgic taste of pre-COVID times is Little Buildings and Brain Trust Collectives’ takeover of award winning indie brewery, Anarchy Brew Co, on Sunday 23rd May. The show will feature performances from Newcastle’s DIY garage rock/post punk outfit Swine Tax, who have built a reputation for their formidable sound, on point lyrics and explosive live performances, alongside Teesside’s lo-fi dream-pop trio Mt. Misery.

So dust off your leather jackets (alongside hat and whip for those going for a historical expedition – a little Indiana Jones joke there), drink some milk to line your stomach and purchase your tickets here.
