The Ouseburn Open Studios return to the Valley on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November, once again hosting a plethora of creative talent. Mushroom Works kick things off a day early, with paintings, prints, interior pieces and textiles to buy on the Friday night. 36 Lime Street will also begin slightly earlier than most with their preview on Friday featuring open artist studios.

Getting into the weekend, Cobalt Studio Ltd will be showing exhibitions and films, with 14 open artists’ studios, limited edition risograph prints, a children’s art area to explore and a café and bar where there will be local musicians and DJs entertaining late into the night. The Biscuit Tin Studios will be filled with makers and creatives, plus hot samosas and a folk fiddler to enjoy. Northern Print will allow visitors to get involved and make their own print, plus there’s a gallery exhibition and a chance to chat to the artists working in the studios. The Toffee Factory, in collaboration with Unit 44, will be displaying the work of local artist Ryan Quickfall, whose solid graphic work is influenced by subversive anti-heroes and comic books. Jim Edwards at 59 Lime Street will also be displaying his works and chatting about his work of cityscapes and abstracts that celebrate the architectural feats of the region.

The Biscuit Factory will be hosting a plethora of artists, with a pop up hot chocolate lounge, flowers and gifts; while Chilli Studios, a mental health charity, will host their alternative festive shopping experience Chilli Bizarre.
