Since the band’s inception in 2001, indie rock kings Maxïmo Park have amassed six studio albums, a multitude of top ten singles, a live DVD and spawned numerous side projects. A visceral live band, they’re releasing a real treat for fans in the form of a ‘live in the studio’ DVD entitled As Long As We Keep Moving, with the release accompanied by a soundtrack on CD and vinyl on 22nd February.

The audio-visual document of the band’s vigour will feature fan favourites aplenty including I Want You To Stay, Girls Who Play Guitars, A19, Limassol and Books From Boxes. Lead singer Paul Smith comments; “It’s been over a decade since our only live DVD, Found On Film. We thought we would make an audio-visual document of our band in its current incarnation, especially because we feel like we are at our most dynamic in a live setting.”

The band will be officially launching their new release with a premiere at Newcastle’s Tyneside Cinema on Thursday 21st February. The film will play in full and after the screening the band will be on hand to field questions from the audience. The event will help raise money for the Tyneside Cinema, where Paul Smith is a patron.
