Comedian Eleanor Conway joins us for a chat ahead of previewing her new show at The Brandling Villa on Monday 2nd July.

So, tell us a bit about yourself and what you do?
I do confessional, raw stand-up. My last show Walk of Shame was a show that covered, sex, sobriety and the modern addict.

What’s the first record you ever bought?
Kylie by Kylie.

What’s your guilty pleasure musically?
Nothing’s a guilty pleasure… Even a bit of Steps is acceptable.

Favourite film of all time?
Dirty Dancing. Every movie should have a dance scene and a lift.

Your guilty pleasure film?
See above

If you could recommend one TV series to binge watch, what would it be?
Handsmaid’s Tale… Scary and epic at the same time.

Your favourite book?
Love anything autobiographical about leaders in business or people that have had to overcome adversity.

Who or what makes you laugh the most?
Toddlers falling over.

Who or what makes you sad?
Seeing marine life trapped in plastic bags and stuff. Makes me very sad to see what we’re doing to the planet.

If you had super power, what would it be?
Loads of money.

And finally, you get to play a board game with any three famous people from history, who do you choose and what’s the board game?
Risk. Alan Sugar, George Michael, Simon Cowell.
