Video Exclusive: hewy 993 – Alone Again

hewy993’s new single Alone Again turns the slow collapse of a relationship into something cinematic — a hypnotic synth lament with tenderly toned vocals captures the moment you realise it’s no longer working, and the uneasy questions that follow as the track evolves into a textured and triumphant finish. It’s an honest and open listen, its vulnerability captivates you and pulls gently into the sonic soundscape as it unfolds.

Produced by Chad Rodgers, it grew from a Hartlepool demo and long chats about direction, with touchpoints like Big Red Machine, Bon Iver and Future Islands shaping its sound. Recorded over two winter sessions in North Shields, with a snowy detour to Rīga feeding into its colder textures and breathy tones, as well as an accompanying video shot by Rob Irish on the North Yorkshire Moors, that keeps the chill running.
