Reliably informed

The nights get darker, Halloween approaches and evil spirits take advantage of the weakened borders that allows them to cross over into our earthly plane. As tradition dictates it’s the time of year where we don masks and make a racket to ward off these supernatural invaders back to the other side. Alternatively, we can let dancey rock ‘n’ rollers Snapped Ankles do that for us and just sit back and enjoy the spectacle.

The East London based band emerged from the woods in 2017 with their debut album Come Play The Trees and have since won the hearts and minds of music lovers everywhere with their mysterious, yet ominous aesthetic and energetic, post-punky sound complete with fuzzy guitars, sharp beats and vibrant synths.

Head to Wandering Oak’s Event at Newcastle University Student’s Union on Thursday 21st October and expect the unexpected and embrace the unknown as the band use their talents to send those that defy death back to the darkness from which they came. Or if you don’t believe in all that mumbo jumbo then just enjoy a great night of music from one the UK’s best and most unique acts on the live circuit right now.
