Who are you and where are you from?
We are Stolen Dead Music, an original alt-rock/post-punk band from the North East of England

What is it you do?
Ever since starting out, we’ve been playing gigs at various local venues, often opening for other bands – more recently, we’ve started recording and releasing our music. In 2021, we made our first release, Rocking Horse Sessions – a self-published eight-track album available on all streaming services. We’re currently writing more songs with the hope of going back into the recording studio in a few months’ time

How long have you been doing it?
The band has been together since 2017, but there have been a few lineup changes during that time, with the current lineup being together since 2021

What inspires you?
Each member of the band has different influences, ranging from 70s Punk and post-punk such as The Clash, Buzzcocks and The Cure to a healthy grunge influence from bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden etc. Also with some influence from alternative rock and even a touch of prog and psychedelic rock, such as early Pink Floyd, The Doors, Magazine and more.

Tell us about your music.
Now we finally have a solid lineup of members, we can all contribute and create a more experimental sound than previous and really get creative. We are all different in age and background but manage to work well together when making music.

What have you got coming up in the future?
We’re about to release our latest six-track EP, The Small Victories, to all streaming services on the 7th of April – it’s already available on our Bandcamp page but will be getting uploaded to Spotify and Youtube as well.

After this, we’ll be on the lookout for more gigs, as well as hopefully releasing another EP this year, as we have at least 6 more songs written and a recording session booked

Where can people find out more about you?
