Hilarity in Heaton seems to be going from strength to strength with Mr Shindig’s Laughter Store and The Chuckling Monk both providing some excellent comedy in two very different nights. With a Valentine’s twist, Mr Shindig’s returns to True Coffeehouse on Friday 12th February.

As ever, jovial jokester and all round good egg Joby Mageean will hold the night together as compère, keeping the night running with just the right level of chaotic energy. The line-up as ever is stacked with comedic talent, Mike Shephard is a brilliantly intelligent and inventive comic who has previously written for BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz as well as appearing as guest presenter on TalkSport. His comedy ranges from the historically accurate to punchy satirical observations. David Callaghan, brings intelligent and beautifully written material, or a bit of anarchic fun, depends what mood he’s in. There’s also Hal Branson from super successful sketch group Hot Gulp who delivers clever comedy and engaging stories; rounding out the line-up Sam Potter’s sharp introspective jokes and Matt Hargaves’ creative comic ideas and excellent delivery. As ever, Mr Shindig’s Laughter store is sure to host another night of raucous comedic fun.

Mr Shindig’s Laughter Store is at True Coffeehouse, Heaton on Friday 12th February.
