Reliably informed

What do the correct way to hold a baby, Gregorian chants about drunken monks and a very detailed how-to guide on killing an actor have in common? Nothing. Zilch. Unless you put that odd trio in the hands of Irish threesome Sean Finegan, Conor McKenna and Sean Flanagan, better known as Foil Arms & Hog.

Drawn together from different disciplines, having met at University College Dublin while studying architecture, engineering and genetics respectively, the trio have established themselves as stand-up stars and YouTube favourites, managing to avoid tying themselves to any genre and producing clips from their offices such as WTF Is Brexit and How To Be Late For Work.

It’s therefore little surprise that these three disparate elements easily form a part of their latest fast-paced comedy sketch show, Craicling, a whirlwind of often off-the-wall and brilliantly creative ideas that are guaranteed to tickle the funny bone. Headed to the Tyne Theatre & Opera House, Newcastle on Friday 29th March, it sees the troupe rising to new heights. Yet beneath the silliness there’s a streak of observational humour that takes unique aim at the topical, and even adds a sprinkling of philosophical musing. It’ll be well good craic.
