Heaton’s much-loved music shop is raffling off a one-of-a-kind guitar with funds raised going to Macmillan Cancer Trust
Christmas is here and it’s the season to be charitable… And although we don’t give to receive, a token of appreciation for doing so is always nice. The good news for guitarists is that in this instance, a recognition of donating to a worthy cause can take the form of a kick-ass guitar.
Heaton’s music emporium Curvy Sounds is raffling off a rather lovely guitar created during lockdown by the shop’s master craftsman Andrew, with funds raised going to Macmillian Cancer trust. The guitar is an Epiphone Pro SG with a baroque style, acanthus leaf motif, engraved pickups and knobs, carved machine heads and feather switch carved from bone that look like a quill in an inkwell! According to Andrew, “It looks like it belongs in the cabin of a 17th century ship and has a dark, rich heavy rock sound that’s very Sabbath like!”
The tickets are £10 and the draw is on the 23rd of December. To purchase tickets, click here.
