Newcastle-based alt-rock quintet, Abnorm, follow up their debut single Citrus, with their latest offering Everything Temporary, a hypnotic track with notes of psych and hard rock, a rich bubbling bass, crunchy adornments of guitar and an effortless melodic vocal that simmers and soars as the song progresses.

We’re delighted to be given an exclusive first listen of Everything Temporary before its release date of Friday 26th March. But first, the band give us a bit more insight into what the song is about and where it was recorded…

“Everything Temporary is about losing at life. It’s the slow, burning realisation that everything must eventually come to an end. We wrote it out of frustration during the pandemic, when people were losing their jobs and having to isolate from their loved ones. It was our way of venting out this pent up aggravation.

“We wrote the track at home in our bedrooms. We then recorded and produced everything between ourselves, with the exception of the drums, which were recorded at Blast Recording Studios.”
