After the success of last year’s event, Star & Shadow, in association with Newcastle University are hosting another online student film festival. Crossing the Bridge is a two-day festival taking place from 10-11th July (1 to 3:30pm) that will feature short documentary films created by graduating students from the Newcastle University Film & Media and Film Practices.
The collection of short documentary films covers a wide variety of subjects: from the midst of rural China to the cities of the UK in a series of powerful and thought-provoking films. The festival is free to take part and the films will be streamed via the Star & Shadow website.
In between screenings, there will be live Q&As with the student filmmakers on the Crossing the Bridge Facebook page. During these livestreams, you can comment your questions/thoughts on the films.
