Since its first show on 19th October 2019, Newcastle Student Radio show Cheese Packet has been a staple in many people’s lives for nearly three years. Hosted on weekend evenings by Jake Anderson, Joe  Foreman, Alana Wan and Mohammed Haris, each show would review a selected album and that would descend (or ascend) into an entertaining vortex of verbosity. Sadly, the show had its final airing on 30th April 2022 due to the hosts graduating from university.

To say goodbye and to raise money for Newcastle West End Foodbank the hosts have put together a Charity Mixtape. The compilation features tracks (kindly donated by the artists) from the likes of Plastic Glass, Faye Fantarrow, Matthew Jameson, Holly Rees, Holiday In Tokyo, Georgia Salacuri, Gulliver and Tired Trace, alongside specially selected clips from the recordings they had in the archives.

The mixtape will be exclusive to Bandcamp and available from Friday 16th September. To purchase your copy, click here.
