After a success year of sell out shows and press, radio and Spotify hype, Newcastle alt-rock trio Ten Eighty Trees kick-off their 2022 by dropping their brand new single, Pathfinder

The track explores feeling lost and directionless in your formative years but having an unwavering belief everything will work out alright in the end. It’s a blaring blast of rock energy that’ll properly kick start your new year, featuring grinding guitar, relentless rhythms and soaring vocals. There’s a drop down around the two minute mark to allow you to catch your breath before the song closes with an ending that’s as intense as a Lars Von Trier film.

We’re delighted to be given an exclusive first listen to the single, which lead singer and guitarist Nathan Newton tells us more about…

“I remember feeling really directionless writing Pathfinder and using its collage of propulsive riffs to vent those frustrations. Whilst this is also apparent in the lyrics, I also think a determination to find a way cuts through. Our music and words can be quite dense at times but that glimmer of hope often creeps into the overarching message. Pathfinder being a perfect example of this.”
