An exhibition of gig photography from Saltburn-based photographer Francis Fitzgerald will be on display in Middlesbrough from 19th-26th August
Saltburn-based photographer Francis Fitzgerald has spent the months since lockdown was lifted getting out to gigs and capturing the live music scene of Teesside, in particular at Base Camp in Middlesbrough where he has a residency. In that time he has taken a variety of photos from not only the music events but the arts and crafts, culinary and vintage events that have been held there and built up a collection of work that really gives people a flavour of what the venue is about.
To showcase all these snaps, Francis will be holding an Exhibition, Scene, which primarily focuses on live music and the connection the artist has with the audience, as well as additional images from Pre-Covid work, including photos from Saltburn Calling, which I documented between 2015- 19.
The show runs from Friday 19th to Friday 26th August and will feature approximately 40 A3+ Giclee prints and will be accompanied by a limited edition catalogue zine.
