The anthemic, Halifax-based trio head to KU Stockton on Saturday 31st January, as part of Independent Venue Week
Alt‑indie trio EEVAH made waves last year with their second EP I Didn’t See It Coming, earning support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing & Radio X. The Halifax trio — featuring multi‑instrumentalist/producer and former Embrace guitarist Rick McNamara — bring their anthemic to KU Stockton on Saturday 31st January, as part of Independent Venue Week.
The band first caught attention with their 2024 debut EP Simplify Life, a burst of anthemic rock hooks & driving synths. I Didn’t See It Coming pushed things further, becoming their most personal work to date. A second sold‑out UK headline tour followed in June 2025, then their biggest run yet that November — momentum built on a cult following from hundreds of online shows and an ever‑growing community. Front‑woman Nicole Smith’s lyrics tap into the insecurities we all carry, with Fay Clayton completing the trio on drums.
Support comes from rising Teesside/Newcastle indie singer‑songwriter Sarah Johnsone, plus Tom Blackwell of Young Rebel Set, performing an acoustic set steeped in Americana, country & blues‑leaning folk.
