Music development agency Generator recently announced the music makers, rappers, composers and DJs who’ll be making new sounds with I. JORDAN this month as part of their Trans_Formation residency, which will be taking place from 23rd-27th January at Star & Shadow. The group then get to perform their creations at Star & Shadow on Friday 27th January and TRANUARY in Manchester on Saturday 28th January.
Regional artists Vision 25-C, a Middlesbrough-based, queer, non-binary, multi disciplinary artist and producer, Essex-born/Newcastle-based live electronic music producer, Eve Kearton, and SKID, a multi-disciplinary artist, performer and sonic transmitter from Newcastle, will join other artists from the UK including Lyn Vegas, Princess Xixi, Phoenix Rousiamanis, HUSK, Xo FKA jayda, Pansy Bbes, and Donna.
JORDAN adds, “Trans and queer spaces are powerful and transformative. But there are not enough dedicated spaces that specifically allow artists to just create. We will be using the power of community to harness our creativity. I can’t wait to see what we make together.”
There will also be a series of public events taking place that week, including Open Decks at World Headquarters on Tuesday 24th January and The Lubber Fiend on Wednesday 25th January. On Thursday 26th January, the Trans_Formation Social will be taking place at The Lubber Fiend. It’s an informal Q&A (between I.JORDAN and trans electronic artist TAALIAH) and mixer event for queer, trans and non binary creatives based in the North of England.
