Reliably informed

‘Surreal’ and ‘dark’ are the two words that spring to mind when discussing Silly Billies. Having moved earlier this year from The Cumberland Arms to The Live Theatre they’ve continued to entertain with their own brand of Reeves & Mortimer meets The League Of Gentlemen brand of humour. They write intelligent, twisted character studies which veer from topical analogies of today’s important themes to just outright daftness, an endearing mixture.

This month features lots of wonderfully talented folk, with Sammy Dobson, Nicola Mantalios-Lovett, Alasdair Beckett-King, Ken Brady, Joby Mageean and Henry Von Stifle. It wouldn’t surprise me if there wasn’t also a visit from Barry Fox. (And probably someone in an animal head, let’s be honest).

Silly Billies is at The Live Theatre on Sunday 20th December.
