Energetic guitar driven sounds from Nine Tons and friends celebrate this fresh, new band at The Central Bar
Nine Tons are a very new band, still honing their raw, punk sound; their debut album has just been released and is a collection of songs with a rare energy and could see the band firmly finding their feet within the North East music scene. It’s still early days for the band, but with a gig at The Central Bar, Gateshead on Saturday 5th March, this band could grow and grow throughout 2016 before our very eyes.
Their alternative and angsty sound still draws on indie influences, to form nuanced noise that’ll grab attention, their heavy guitar driven sound has something of a classic rock sound that still manages to sound modern and fresh. Their debut album No Frills is full of tracks that should transfer over perfectly live, and with support from the similarly alternative The Magick Godmothers and fellow purveyors of energetic guitar driven chaos Apache Viking this has all the trappings of an excellent show.
