After a long and gruelling lockdown, which saw science battle the dark forces of Covid-19 and keep us connected, our lives are starting to return to some semblance of normality. With newfound freedoms and curiosities peaked from the many science based shows and news stories that occupied our attention that helped us make sense of the world, you’ll be pleased to know that the Life Science Centre, Newcastle is set to reopen on 10th July with activities and exhibits for the inquisitive mind, regardless of age.

Check out the amazing Brain Zone and Space Zone (which includes a recreation of part of the International Space Station and the stunning digital globe, the Sphere) and Clever LEGO Creations built by pro LEGO artists, including brick models of the Houses of Parliament and a huge four-metre-long airport by Warren Elsmore, alongside Stephenson’s Rocket locomotive by local artist Steve Mayes.

There will also be a chance to do some real experiments, create a windmill or wind powered toy to take home and watch a live show full of exciting bangs and explosions.

Tickets for timed slots must be booked online in advance and can be purchased here.
