Reliably informed

Prepare yourself for a night of keenly observed anecdotes spiked with a large dose of cranky exasperation, as Josh Widdicombe – the best comedian from Devon who isn’t Peter Cook – makes a welcome return to Newcastle, this time at Tyne Theatre & Opera House, on Sunday 6th October with his latest tour, Bit Much.

Best known as co-host of twice BAFTA nominated and multiple Broadcast and RTS award show The Last Leg, as well as highly acclaimed sitcom JOSH, Insert Name Here, QI, Have I Got News For You, A League Of Their Own and his hit podcast Quickly Kevin Will He Score, Widdicombe has turned petty irritation into a comedic art-form, combining a fractious uneasiness with the mundane, a smart observational eye and a genuinely befuddled view of the world to produce some of the most priceless comedy around at the moment.

This latest tour has been critically received, and with topics for the evening that include calendars, pesto and the closing time of his local park, you can see why…just don’t mention Prêt a Manger.
