Reliably informed

One of the most original settings for a music festival is fast approaching, as In My Treehouse Festival comes to Burnlaw Centre, Hexham on Saturday 9th July, as a wealth of captivating music plays in most brilliantly quirky of settings.

The festival features imaginative and inventive instrumental trio Sink; Northumbrian reggae band Diddley Squat; the gorgeous folk of Brothers Gillespie; intensely beautiful Balkan, Turkish and Greek music from Horovod; psychedelic mastery from Monkey Puzzle and gypsy folk blended with punk influences from Portnawak And The Woo.

There’s also endearing troubadours Whippet beans, electro silliness from Electric Jehovah Drum Machine and still a few more to be announced. With it being very much a family activity with fun for children too and camping, it’s a delightful way to spend a summer Saturday, plus, I don’t know if we mentioned, but it’s bands up a tree.
