With the world going to shit and with everything getting cancelled, it would be lovely to use the kitchen wall calendar for something other than sell-by dates of the food purchased in the mammoth, prepper-style monthly shop. Thankfully the good people at Hit The North have given it its first feel-good entry in a while with the positive news that the fourth edition of their inner-city music festival is being rescheduled for Sunday 18th October.

And if that’s not enough positivity to bring a glimmer of joy to your new nihilistic lockdown mindset they’ve also added pop heavyweights Pale Waves and indie icon Tim Burgess to their most ambitious lineup yet, including previously announced acts DMA’s, The Amazons, Fickle Friends, and many more.

Speaking about the rescheduled date, Hit The North Director Steve Davis said:
“In these difficult times for all of us, let alone the hospitality and events industry, I’m proud of our staff for managing to reschedule the vast majority of the line-up. I’m really excited for this year’s Hit The North Festival and once again, I thank you all for your support.

It’s amazing to see all of the agents and artists support the event and hopefully we can all be together to celebrate defeating this terrible virus in October”.

With stage lineups, festival venues and more to be revealed in the coming months, Hit The North Festival is set for its most impressive and diverse event to date. Tickets are available now, priced at £32.50 (plus booking fee) here.
