Newcastle Castle has now firmly established itself as a go-to venue for a unique cinema experience. After selling out five nights of The Lost Boys and other sell-outs like Baz Luhrman’s Romeo + Juliet, Evil Dead, Pan’s Labyrinth, Amelie and several nights of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, there’s a real selection of cult classics to be snapped up.

Their selection for October has found seven sell-out nights of Hocus Pocus, alongside other sell-outs like 80s classic Big Trouble In Little China and the iconic Blade Runner. We’ve had word there’s still a handful of tickets left for Fight Club on Thursday 11th October, 90s comedy Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure on Friday 12th, horror cult favourite that’s funny, violent and with a soundtrack that kicks ass Evil Dead II on Saturday 20th, Mel Brooks’ classic comedy Young Frankenstein on Sunday 21st and there’s another cinematic fave An American Werewolf In London on Sunday 28th October.

A real treat is in store for Halloween with The Exorcist set to chill and scare on Wednesday 31st October.

They’ve announced November’s selection too, with Highlander on Friday 2nd, The Warriors on Thursday 8th, Alien on Friday 9th, Tim Burton’s Batman on Sunday 11th and campy sci-fi adventure Starship Troopers an absolute must-see on Thursday 15th November. There’s also zom-rom-com Shaun Of The Dead to look forward to on Sunday 18th November. Tickets for November’s screenings go on sale Monday 15th October at midday, and judging by the sell-outs they’ve had already, you’ll wanna be ready.

Film Season continues at Newcastle Castle throughout October and November.
