Reliably informed

Twisted Tales by Cornish touring company ‘Owdyado Theatre will be at Newcastle Castle on Wednesday 13th March, 7pm. Twisted Tales is a hilarious trio of dark comedies, featuring tales of three strangers invited to a locked-room mystery, a bandaged man inexplicably kept in an upmarket apartment and two kids’ TV presenters who find themselves having to dispose of a body with the help of a criminal-mastermind glove puppet. Intrigued? Here are five things to expect:

Twists
As the name suggests, Twisted Tales features some surprising plot twists. With influences from the Twilight Zone and Inside No.9 you can definitely expect to be shocked as well as entertained!

Weird Props
A moose with its antlers painted pink, some blood-stained bandages and a blue felt glove puppet, these elements definitely make up some of the ‘twisted’ things in Twisted Tales.

Riddles
What comes once in a minute, twice in a moment and never in a thousand years? What is the ‘thing’ Lisa can’t say but Kenneth desperately wants to do? Why might you want to avoid apples? These questions (and more) will all be answered if you come along to Twisted Tales on the 13th March at Newcastle Castle!

Shocks
Obviously we can’t give away what these are but Twisted Tales features some shocking moments that regularly see our audiences gasp out loud. We do love surprising people but we do like to think that we delight them too!

Laughs
Twisted Tales are riotous comedies as our audiences will testify. “Absolutely amazing, I have never laughed at a show at college for ages” (Weymouth College Theatre). “The tales really were twisted and the laughs kept on coming” (Broadbent Theatre, Wickenby), “A night of Twisted Tales at the Theatre Royal, Dumfries was at least on a par, if not better than our evening entertained by Nigel Planer and Ade Edmondson in Vulcan 7 the week before”. Now that’s a review!
