Newcastle’s celebration of the exciting and the experimental takes place on 19th-21st November with an awesome line up
After well over a year of being deprived, we’d all hoped for the euphoric experience of being at a festival this Summer. But alas, “freedom day” kept getting postponed and one by one so did the festivals. The good news is that this winter the insatiable yearning for a plethora of live acts all within a certain geographical location will finally be satisfied as The Cluny & Cluny 2 in Newcastle hosts the 2021 edition of the rather brilliant, and sorely missed, Brave Exhibitions Festival.
Heading up the bill are genre spanning alt-rock legends Gnod, London music collective Curl, avant-punk queen Nuha Ruby Ra, fuzz-laden seismic soundmakers Part Chimp, heavy psych purveyors Bonnacons Of Doom, post-punk trios Deep Tan and Trash Kit, dark EDM project Evil House Party, art-rock/R&B/Indian Classical artist Kapil Seshasayee, electronic act Andrew Hung and noise creator PETBRICK. They’re joined by Obey Cobra, Sofa King, Blue Ruth, Shelly Knots, Ruth Paterson, Blom, SL Walkinshaw, Late Girl, Me Lost Me and Mariam Rezaei.
And if that’s not enough there will be several fringe events at local grassroots venues, in collaboration with several other organisations such as Fat Out, Box Records, Tits Upon Tyne, Coat Rack Records, Generator, and Curious Arts.
The festival takes place 19th-21st November and tickets are available to purchase via the Brave Exhibitions Festival website.
