While live productions may be on pause right now, Newcastle-based multi-award winning dance theatre company balletLORENT are determined to forge ahead with their emotive and beautiful performances.

Their short film, The Things That Wait, was filmed in September at Gateshead’s Swedish Gardens in Saltwell Park. The 14 minute film, featuring dancers and crew who were in work bubbles, premieres on Vimeo on Thursday 19th November at 6pm and costs £3 to rent for one week.

We understand why we have had to be solitary, but our physical selves are missing the possibility of touch with family and friends, as well as the company of the crowd. We wait for a new season. In this story we meet that moment.” Says artistic director Liv Lorent about the production.

Described as a fairytale for all ages, the production was choreographed by Liv and the dancers, with an original music score composed and performed by 12-year old Albie Crompton, with costume design by Nasir Mazhar.
