Sometimes we all need to laugh at how rubbish things can get. Sometimes it just gets to that point where you think things can’t get any worse and you just have to laugh at how stupid everything is. Andrew Lawrence knows what it’s like all too well; it’s the basis of his new stand-up show, Reasons To Kill Yourself, which comes to Durham’s Gala Theatre on Thursday 22nd January.

Yes, the title may have a bit of the shock factor about it but Lawrence doesn’t set out to offend anyone else in his latest show. Instead, he’s inviting the audience to have a good old laugh at him. Despite being a regular on Channel 4’s Stand Up For The Week, impressing at the Edinburgh Fringe and making appearances on BBC’s Live At The Apollo, he still thinks some of his life is just rubbish and sometimes he’s still just as disillusioned as he was before his career kicked off. So he’s decided to have a moan, pointing out some of the odd foibles of his own life as well as telling some hilarious observational jokes. Don’t let that title put you off: Lawrence’s latest show promises to be humorously reassuring.
