Focus: Shore

Who are you?
We are SHORE, two brothers from Redcar. 

What is it you do?
We play professionally in a 60’s tribute band but we needed a creative output so we formed SHORE to write our own material inspired by our real-life events.

How long have you been doing it?
As working musicians, we’ve been performing for 12 years. But in lockdown we formed SHORE, we had time to write instead of being on the road gigging.

What inspires you?
Our music takes its inspiration from the 60’s with catchy melody lines and modern indie guitar sounds. Our lyrics are inspired by events that have happened to us in real life which include many metaphors so people can interpret it their own way.

Tell us about your work.
We released our first single, Hard Love, back in December 2020. Since then we have released another song, Sever The Ties, in the summer of 2021. And we are just releasing our latest single, Star Signs, which is available August 19th. We feel this latest single is definitely the best we’ve released so far and we can not wait for people to hear it. You can find our tracks on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. 

What have you got coming up in the future?
We are hoping our new single, Star Signs, is received well, as we want to perform at a few more local festivals next year to showcase our songs. We’ve also already got our next single recorded and ready, so we will be starting to work on a music video and other promo work for that.
