Who are you and where are you from?
I go by REiiGN. I’m a rapper and vocalist originally from Shepherd’s Bush in West London, now living up in Newcastle. Mummy is from London and Paps is from South Shields and they both love tunes.

What is it you do?
I make music that’s real to me mixing rap, melodies, and a blend of genres like DnB, Dance, and soul. It’s honest, emotional, sometimes gritty, sometimes uplifting.

How long have you been doing it?
Music’s always been part of my life. I was in a steel band as a kid I used to be the frontman for the student band Purple Shards, combining indie and rap. I grew up around sound systems and pirate radio, but I got back into it properly in the last couple of years after a long break. Since then, I’ve been going all in.

What inspires you?
My life, my daughter, my journey trying to make sense of it all. I’m inspired by where I’ve come from, the people I meet, and the energy of live music. Real moments inspire real lyrics.

Tell us about your music.
I like to switch it up sometimes it’s high-energy, sometimes it’s reflective, but it always comes from the heart. My first single, Rise, is all about bouncing back after hard times, and that pretty much sums up what I’m on.

What have you got coming up in the future?
A bunch of things more singles to follow a collabs with local artists Georgia May, Jay North and my best friend Mr Moon as well as some surprises I’m sure no one will see coming but that will have to wait for another time.

Where can people find out more about you?
I’m most active on Instagram @REiiGNMUSiiC, and you’ll find my music on streaming platforms soon. Keep an eye out. I’m just getting started.
