Who are you and where are you from?
I’m Ben Hemsley, and I’m from North Shields, a small town in Newcastle on the river Tyne.
What is it you do?
I make tunes, and I’m very fortunate to travel and play them out to people
How long have you been doing it?
I started when I was 14 when my brother came home and showed me and my mam a video of Tiesto in concert. I saved up for my first pair of decks and started writing and producing not long after, so 10 years!
What inspires you?
Loads of things actually, people I’m around, the vibe of a night, other tracks, or sometimes just how I feel.
Tell us about your music.
I make music in my mams back garden, but we just got a noise complaint so planning to set up a proper studio now haha. I’m travelling a fair bit at the minute and get to meet loads of wicked people and play my music to them.
What have you got coming up in the future?
A lot! I’m in the process of starting up my own event and label! Something I’ve dreamed about for years so I’m so buzzing to get things under way!
