We caught up with comedian Stephen Bailey ahead of his show Can’t Think Straight coming to The Stand in Newcastle on Tuesday 6th March.

What’s the first record you ever bought?
Well all my pals were buying Eminem’s The Real Slim Shady but I bought B*Witched Blame It On The Weatherman – and I won’t apologise.

What’s your guilty pleasure musically?
Ok, well most of the music I am open about, most people would say is their ‘guilty pleasure’, you know like the early Billie Piper Because We Want To Stuff, but I guess my dirty secret is Marilyn Manson – I find it sensual.

Favourite film of all time?
The Polar Express. I watch it every Christmas Eve on the way home to Manchester and it mends my soul and brings back some magic.

Your guilty pleasure film?
Once again not so guilty, but I love Coyote Ugly. Maybe I’m too open…

If you could recommend one TV series to binge watch, what would it be?
Ally McBeal – you’re welcome.

Your favourite book?
I have never finished a book.
JKS – Obviously, I am very well read. My fave is Dannii Minogue’s autobiography. Shut up.

Who or what makes you laugh the most?
My mum – she doesn’t wear a bra. She also gets her words confused all the time because she’s from Gorton. My cousin is a celiac but mum calls her a necrophilliac.

Who or what makes you sad?
When a boy doesn’t admit that he loves you after one date.

If you had super power, what would it be?
I wish I could make people kinder.

And finally, you get to play a board game with any three famous people from history, who do you choose and what’s the board game?
From history….oh eck.
How about this?  Me, Lauren Conrad, Cheryl Cole, Zac Efron playing ‘Never Have I Ever’.
