Middlesbrough’s metropolitan music fest announces its first wave of acts for Saturday 3rd October
Twisterella returns to Middlesbrough on Saturday 3rd October with a new wave of artists announced for its 12th edition, bringing another all‑day sweep of emerging music across five city‑centre stages with headliners walt disco, loveshy, The Rooks and Mouth Ulcers leading the latest reveal.
Glasgow’s walt disco bring their expansive, synth‑powered art‑rock; loveshy arrives off the back of a breakout debut EP and a growing cinematic pop‑grunge aesthetic; The Rooks continue their rise following a Jim Lowe‑produced EP and sold‑out Academy tour; and Mouth Ulcers channel darkwave, post‑punk and shoegaze into a sharp, gothic edge. They’re joined by Brighton art‑rock collective KEG, plus End Credits, Mindsigh, Pearly Gates, Robyn Banks, Roller Disco Death Party, Successpit, Tanzana and Toria Wooff.
This year’s festival spans Rebel:Rebel, The Buffs Club and three stages inside Teesside University Students’ Union, keeping all venues within a short walk and continuing Twisterella’s metropolitan format. More artists will follow throughout summer, with Early Bird tickets available now here.
