Preview: Black Dahlia @ Zerox, Newcastle

Black Dahlia brings her singular blend of electronic music and performance art to Zerox, Newcastle on Thursday 19th March. Her work blurs theatre, sound and surreal spectacle, building dreamlike worlds where masks, characters and shifting personas collide. It’s a show that moves between the alien and the deeply human, inviting audiences into spaces that feel strange, intimate and entirely her own.

Her profile has been steadily rising, marked by the release of her latest album The Imposter last October on her own imprint, School of Dahlia. The album follows a lone wanderer, The Imposter, who chases a distant light away from Paradise and becomes lost between realms, drifting through an interstellar limbo of time and strange encounters.

She’s since toured across Europe and Australia, sharing stages with Kirin J Callinan, John Maus, Cosey Mueller and Enola, with performances in Berlin, Vienna, Alvesta, Melbourne, Sydney and Hobart. Festival appearances at SXSW Sydney, Metanoia Festival, Kalabalik På Tyrolen and Dark Mofo have further cemented her reputation, alongside praise from publications, radio and broadcasters

Joining Black Dahlia on the bill are electro‑poets BDGR and witch‑house trio Nadine Hurley. This promises to be a night of bold experimental energy.
