On Sunday 15th March, Middlesbrough Gigs Association bring British singer‑songwriter Our Man In The Field to the beautiful Town Hall Courtroom for a special Sunday Social matinee. Now in its second year and supported by Arts Council England, the series continues to make the most of the venue’s stunning stained‑glass setting. Led by Alex Ellis, Our Man In The Field grew out of a mid‑life turning point that pushed the former actor toward songwriting, shaping his cinematic indie‑folk sound influenced by the likes of Van Morrison and Neil Young. Very special guests Before Close — the new collaborative project from Jodie Nicholson and Joe Ramsey — open the show with a sonic and visual time capsule rooted in place.

Middlesbrough Gigs Association co-founder Clare Hargan has said, “It’s great to be working with Andy Carr [of The Kids Are Solid Gold] to deliver this project and we are thrilled to have the support of Arts Council England. We are passionate about live music and Middlesbrough and are intent on giving the very best for our town.”

Tickets for the show are available here.
