Middlesbrough Gigs bring the Fatherson front man to the Teesside venue for a Sunday afternoon matinee performance on 30th November
Middlesbrough Gigs was launched in early 2024 with the aim of bringing novel and innovative performances to a similarly eclectic range of venues across the region. The launch night saw Charlotte Carpenter perform at the intimate Café Etch, and the initiative has continued to push the envelope ever since. Their forthcoming show on 30th November 2025 is one of their most intriguing to date, with Fatherson frontman Ross Leighton performing in the Town Hall’s Courtroom. Like many Scottish rock outfits who came to prominence in the early 2010’s, Fatherson began by releasing records on King Tut’s Recordings, before releasing four studio albums and touring with the likes of Biffy Clyro and Enter Shikari.
More recently, Ross Leighton has found his home in Glasgow’s East End and has continued his collaborative songwriting ethos with his exciting new solo project. Special Guests are yet to be confirmed for this special Sunday afternoon matinee performance; an incredible opportunity to experience stripped-back versions of some of Fatherson’s favourites.
